The Legend of The First Medicine People

In a time before man walked upright and when great beasts roamed the earth came The Ani-si-ah, people from far away. Their civilization was old when the world was new and they dwelled in lands yet unnamed. Existing on their islands for so long all but a few shamans had forgotten from where they came. A people of ancient knowledge and great power, they were the first, the medicine people. In tune with powers and mystic forces they shaped their world into a paradise where sickness was vanquished and aging slowed to a crawl. But with the lack of remembrance of their own dark past came a terrible price, corruption.

One of the Stone clan, a Crystal Shaman gifted of his clans old wisdom and skills watched as the priest and crystal singers became more corrupt. Calling upon energies from the great mountain to raise themselves to positions of power, the once holy men and woman dared the will of the sacred Creator and used the crystal light to hide their dark natures. But their use of the mystic energies was an unnatural one, and Stone Wolf could feel the great crystal mountain cry in silence and their scared land tremble to its core by the forsaking of their spiritual ways. The knowledge of what had brought them to this island continent was thought lost in the eons, suppressed, as if banished from their memory. But to control the vast power its wielders use the secrets of what had brought them from afar, a knowledge thought lost in the eons, suppressed and banished from their memory. But also forgotten was the memory of once being cast out of their home, but the Crystal Shaman remembered. Remembered in his very being and as it was revealed to him in dreams and visions. And he saw that again it would be their punishment and soon their world would collapse around them.

For his people and their clans to survive, the Crystal Shaman knew they would have to leave their paradise and his people forge a new world so their sacred and ancient medicine would survive. But if what they were taught was true from when they walked the far shores of this world, the lands beyond, those that lay outside of their island kingdom were places of great danger and vast cold, and few would willingly follow. He would need proof of the ancient knowledge obtained by the priest and crystal singers, something he could use to show the council when he confronted them.
